Pirate Ship Net

This is my ship from a image on google of a cardboard pirate ship which we made from paper with glue, a pencil, scissors, rubber, ruler and protractor.

It was really hard because we didn't measure correctly sometimes, it was easy to make the shapes because we already planned it out, next time I will work on doing better measurements.

Math Skillz- Finding A Percentage Of A Number

Our group have been learning finding the percentages of a number and we have learnt what to do.

The of the questions are:

12% of 80                       120% of 46

27% of 64                       138% of 57

82% of 205                     270% of 80


12% of 80 is 9.6             120% of 46 is 55.2

27% of 64 is 17.28          138% of 57 is 78.66

82% of 205 is 168.1          270 of 80 is 216


Basically its the percentage takeaway the number like 64% of 90 is 57.6 because its 64 x 0.90 = 57.6. But if you have a question like 48% of 291 = 48 x 2.91 which is 139.68 so it's actually really easy.

Reflection: 
This was hard because I didn't know how to make he graph.
This was easy because I had done something similar to this last year.
Next time I should try to make a graph myself without any help.

My Reflection: This was quite tricky to do some of them like Thursday because some pieces are different from he others.
Monday and Tuesday was easy to do because all I had to do was half it.The money was easy too because it also was half.

This is one of the time I did e-ako fractions where we have to sort them out by puting the smallest piece going to the highest piece in words and symbol and we will answer some questions at the bottem like how much will pieces will their be if their were 18 people in the class and how mach pieces if the were 30 pieces.

I was learning to solve fraction problems using addition and mutiplcation strategies We had to use kidpix   to show how we solve our problems.I found it hard because we had to do multiplication, subtraction and fractions.One thing I did well was times tables.Next time I will make strategies/plans to make it easier.
